Jordan and Qatar have discussed Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at easing ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran. According to an Al Jazeera report published Saturday, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held talks on the issue.
Jordan’s Foreign Ministry shared the information in a post on social media platform X.
The statement said the two leaders discussed the progress of Pakistan’s mediation efforts to help resolve the ongoing crisis between Washington and Tehran.
They stressed that coordinated international efforts are needed to address the root causes of the crisis and to reach a sustainable solution that would prevent further escalation.
As tensions continue to rise in the Middle East, several countries have stepped up diplomatic efforts. Pakistan is reportedly trying to mediate between the United States and Iran in an effort to prevent a wider conflict and restore stability in the region.
