Iran has warned that it would deliver a stronger response if the United States or Israel launches a new attack. The country also said it has prepared potential targets for retaliatory strikes and increased its weapons production capacity by 2.5 times compared with before the war.

On Tuesday, October 6, Iranian Defense Ministry spokesman Reza Talaei-Nik said Iran would respond firmly to any new attack and that its opponents would suffer greater losses as a result. Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported the statement.

Asked what Iran would do in response to a possible attack on Kuh-e Kolang, also known as “Pickaxe Mountain,” Talaei-Nik said the Iranian armed forces had already identified and prepared targets that could be attacked in response to any new aggression.

He said advanced missile and drone technologies, modern air defense systems, and various naval, ground and air combat systems had been supplied to the armed forces.

Talaei-Nik claimed that Iran’s current capacity to produce weapons, defense equipment and ammunition is 2.5 times higher than it was before the war. He said the capacity had been increased following the war that began on February 28.

He added that production of some types of weapons had increased more than threefold.

According to Talaei-Nik, the Iranian Defense Ministry and its partner organizations can now produce more than 1,000 different types of weapons, military systems, equipment and ammunition.

Meanwhile, Talaei-Nik said Iran’s defense cooperation with Russia and China had neither stopped nor decreased.

He said strategic cooperation with Moscow and Beijing remains active under existing agreements, while political and defense contacts with both countries continue.

He also said defense diplomacy and consultations with Russia and China had been strengthened in some areas, although he did not provide further details.

Earlier, reports in Israeli media said Israel was preparing for a possible new military operation against Iran, either in coordination with the United States or independently.

Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that the Israeli military was preparing for a possible attack on Iran while continuing close intelligence and military cooperation with the U.S. military.

The report said Israel was also preparing for the possibility of responding to an Iranian attack or carrying out a preemptive strike.

Tensions between Iran and the United States and Israel have continued since the war began on February 28. During the conflict, U.S. and Israeli forces targeted Iranian military and nuclear facilities as well as senior military officials. In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. military installations in the Middle East.
