The “World Bangla Music River Cruise” was held in New York on Sunday in a festive setting, bringing together Bangladeshi expatriates and music lovers from different cultural backgrounds.
The event took place from 6 p.m. to midnight aboard the Skyline Princess cruise at World Fair Marina on Sunday, September 13.
Presented by Golden Age Homecare and organized by World Bangla Music, the event attracted a large number of Bangladeshi expatriates in New York as well as music enthusiasts from various communities.
The evening featured a river cruise, dinner, live music and a variety of cultural performances. Performances by popular artists added to the festive atmosphere and kept the audience entertained throughout the program.
A raffle draw was another major attraction of the event. Winners received a range of prizes, while the draw generated considerable excitement among the participants.
M.N. Zaman, president and CEO of World Bangla Music, oversaw the overall organization and management of the event.
The organizers said the main objective of such initiatives is to promote Bangla music and culture in the diaspora and further strengthen the bonds within the Bangladeshi community.
The event concluded at midnight after an evening of music, cultural performances, dinner and river cruising.
