Dohar Upazila Association USA Inc Holds Grand Inauguration of New Executive Committee in New York

The inauguration ceremony of the newly elected executive committee of the Dohar Upazila Association USA Inc was held in New York amid a vibrant atmosphere and strong participation from the Bangladeshi diaspora community.

The event took place at the Nabanna Party Hall in Jackson Heights, where Justice Somma S. Sayeed of the New York State Supreme Court attended as the chief guest.

The colorful program began at 7:00 PM with the national anthem, followed by the formal oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed committee members. Guests later welcomed the new leadership with floral greetings.

For the 2026–2027 term, Mustafa Kamal Mukul assumed office as president, while Robiul Alam took charge as general secretary of the organization.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of strengthening unity, brotherhood, and cooperation among the Dohar community and the broader Bangladeshi diaspora living abroad. They expressed hope that the new committee would play an active role in community development and welfare initiatives.

A cultural segment was one of the key attractions of the day-long program, where performances by renowned artists captivated the audience.

Organizers said the event was successfully conducted under the supervision of Convener Dulal Behdu, Member Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Patron Shahnur Rahman Biplob, Chief Coordinator Abdul Aziz, and Overall Coordinator Saifur Rahman Tutul, along with other committee members.
