U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to visit three key Middle Eastern countries next week as part of a regional diplomatic tour that will include the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain.

The planned trip was reported on Friday by U.S. news outlet Axios. However, neither the purpose of the visit nor the agenda of discussions has been officially disclosed. The U.S. State Department has also declined to comment on the upcoming tour.

According to regional analysts, the visit could focus on several pressing issues, including the recent understanding between the United States and Iran, developments in Lebanon, and security concerns across the Gulf region.

Earlier on Friday, Rubio held a telephone conversation with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. During the call, he reaffirmed Washington’s support for Lebanon’s government and its efforts to strengthen the country’s security and sovereignty.

Against the backdrop of ongoing political and security challenges in the Middle East, Rubio’s visit is being viewed as a significant diplomatic engagement aimed at reinforcing U.S. ties with key regional partners.
