An Iran-backed Iraqi armed group, the Islamic Resistance, has claimed that 13 U.S. soldiers were killed in its attacks. The group said the casualties occurred during 291 military operations carried out over the past 12 days, according to Press TV.

In a statement on Wednesday (11 March), the group said it carried out 31 operations targeting U.S. military bases in Iraq in the past 24 hours. It claimed that dozens of drones and missiles were used in those attacks.

The statement said the total number of operations conducted in the last 12 days has reached 291. According to the group, 13 U.S. soldiers were killed and several dozen others were injured in those attacks. It added that some of the injured soldiers are in critical condition.

The Iraqi group also warned European countries not to take part in any potential aggression against Iran.

The statement further said that world powers are trying to establish dominance over independent nations and suppress the dignity and independence of the Iranian people. It also claimed that Zionist and U.S. forces are trying to involve their allies in a war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The group warned that any country participating in aggression against Iran will be considered an enemy. In that case, their forces and military bases across Iraq and the wider region would become legitimate targets for retaliation.
