Dua Mahfil and Traditional Chattogram Mezban Held in New York on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

A Dua Mahfil and traditional Chattogram Mezban were held in Jackson Heights, New York, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The event was organized on Sunday evening, September 6, at Nabanna Party Hall in Jackson Heights.

The program featured religious discussions, Milad and a special prayer as part of the observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and the traditional Chattogram Mezban. The Dua Mahfil was conducted by Imam Kazi Qayyum.

Following the religious program, around 5,000 people attended the traditional Chattogram Mezban.

The organizers said they have been arranging the Mezban every year on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) since 2012. People from various states across North America take part in the event. In the early years, the Mezban was arranged for around 400 to 500 people. The gathering has now grown to approximately 5,000 participants.

The organizers expressed their hope that the tradition will continue in the future with the continued cooperation and wholehearted support of the community.

Organizing committee convener Shamsul Alam Chowdhury, coordinator Monir Ahmed and member secretary Selim Harun said the event was organized with the aim of promoting religious harmony and brotherhood while preserving and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Chattogram among the expatriate community.

They also thanked everyone who attended the Dua Mahfil and Mezban and contributed to the success of the event.
