Nobanno Restaurant has carved out a distinctive identity within New York’s Bangladeshi community by offering hygienic, nutritious, and authentic Bengali cuisine. Beyond serving New Yorkers, Nobanno has also become a top dining choice for food lovers from neighboring cities and states.
Responding to growing demand, Nobanno expanded its presence beyond Jackson Heights by opening a new branch in Jamaica, aiming to serve the Bangladeshi community there with the same commitment to quality and taste. Currently, both branches of Nobanno Restaurant offer a wide variety of healthy Bengali and Chinese dishes. From traditional cooked fish and meat curries, plain rice, bharta, and biryani to pitha, sweets, fuchka, and haleem—Nobanno’s diverse menu continues to attract a loyal customer base.
One of Nobanno Restaurant’s standout features is its elegantly designed party halls. Located in both Jackson Heights and Jamaica, these venues have become trusted community spaces for weddings, birthdays, political and social programs, meetings, and seminars.
To ensure consistent food quality and freshness, Nobanno Restaurant has recently established its own supply chain through Nobanno Supermarket. Fresh vegetables, fish, and meat are sourced directly from farms and processed under the restaurant’s own supervision before being supplied to the kitchens. In addition, Nobanno Supermarket offers essential grocery items, playing a supportive role in meeting the everyday needs of the local community.
Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, Muhammad Qader, owner of Nobanno Restaurant, said that maintaining high health standards has always been his top priority.
“While providing regular breakfast and lunch services to senior citizens attending social adult day care centers, the importance of nutritious and hygienic food became even more evident,” he explained. “Often, commercially available food lacks proper nutrition or the authentic taste of traditional Bengali cuisine. Keeping this reality in mind, we have made food quality and nutritional value our highest priority.”
Born and raised in Lalbagh, Dhaka, Muhammad Qader carries a deep emotional connection to Dhakaiya cuisine. Inspired by this passion, Nobanno Restaurant brings together homestyle cooking, Dhaka’s rich culinary heritage, and balanced nutrition under one roof. Qader also emphasized that Nobanno is continuously working to improve service quality in order to introduce the true flavors of Bangladeshi cuisine not only to the Bangladeshi diaspora in New York, but also to international guests—while maintaining global standards.
