Repeated attacks by Iran have destabilized several Middle Eastern countries. Tehran has been expanding the scope of its strikes day by day. Dubai has been significantly affected, largely because the region hosts strong U.S. military bases, which are reportedly among Iran’s priority targets. Widespread strikes aimed at those bases have heightened fears across the emirate.
According to a report by The Guardian, Dubai International Airport has sustained damage from Iranian attacks. Several luxury hotels and key installations in the city have also reportedly been affected. The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates said on Monday that it intercepted multiple missiles and drones. Amid the growing regional conflict, the UAE has announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran. Fear and anxiety have intensified across the UAE, particularly among wealthy residents.
As a result, private jets have become the primary means of escape for many affluent individuals seeking to leave Dubai. The rush to depart through alternative routes has driven private jet charter prices sharply higher. Once known as a glamorous hub for billionaires, influential figures, and millions of tourists, Dubai is now gripped by deep uncertainty.
In response to U.S. and Israeli strikes, Iran has launched drones and missiles targeting American bases across the Middle East. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain have also reportedly been included in the list of targets.
Amid the escalating tensions, many people are heading to neighboring Oman. The drive to Oman takes approximately four and a half hours by car. So far, the country has not experienced the same level of direct impact from the conflict. Muscat International Airport remains operational, though some flights are facing delays. Despite long waiting times, many wealthy individuals are eventually departing for destinations in Asia and Europe via private aircraft.
