U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s current leadership structure is unclear. In a post on Truth Social on Thursday (April 23), he said the Iranian public is struggling to determine who their real leader is, according to the BBC.
Trump also alleged that there is internal conflict in Iran between hardliners and moderates.
He made the comments shortly after reportedly ordering action against Iranian naval vessels involved in laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
He further claimed that the United States currently holds effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, stating that no vessel can pass through without U.S. approval.
